We continue to pray for seminarians during this National Vocations Awareness Week, especially our own Aidan Blanchette!

For the last few weeks, we have been blessed by the spiritual reflections of our summer seminarian Joseph Brodeur in our parish bulletin. This Friday, we will have an opportunity to hear him speak on the sacred scriptures. Join us as 6pm to grow in our faith and support him on his continued journey to the priesthood. We look forward to seeing you then.

God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears, that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters. Keep in your mercy those men and women who have died in the cause of freedom and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace.

Please pray for the 18 young people from our parish and the 7 from Holy Family Parish, as they make their final preparations to receive the sacrament of Confirmation. Join us this evening, March 25th between our 5:15p Mass on the Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord, and Stations of the Cross as we join Pope Francis in consecrating Ukraine and Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. We pray for a swift end to this conflict. “Lord our God, you sent your only Son to bring peace to our world. Through the intercession of Blessed Mary ever-Virgin, hear our earnest prayer; grant that our times may be tranquil, so that we may live in peace as one family, united in love for one another.”

We are excited to welcome Fr. Joe Brice back to St. John Paul II Parish for our 2022 Lenten Mission. Fr. Joe will be presented "Growing in the Spiritual Life During Lent" from 6:00 PM to 7:00 pm on Monday, March 14th and Tuesday, March 15th in the context of the Holy Hour. Please join us for these faith filled evenings.

Please note the additional time of the 8:30a school Mass! All parishioners are welcome to join due to lessening Covid restrictions. Join us for holy Mass as we begin this time of growth in the spiritual life!

The Knights of Columbus Delancy Council #57 and St. John Paul II Council #12613 will be once again offering Chowder and Clam Cake Dinners on Fridays during Lent. Fridays during Lent March 4, 11, 18, 25 and April 1 and 8 from 5 PM to 7 PM Call 401-573-5596 Monday thru Friday (by 5PM) to place your order. $5 for 1/2 dozen clam cakes; $8 for a dozen clam cakes; $5 for a bowl of chowder (Red or White) and if it is for Dine in or Curbside Delivery (Norfolk Ave). Stations of the Cross will be held every Friday during Lent following the 5:15 PM Mass. For those unable to attend in person, we will be live streaming the Stations of the Cross. A link can be found at our parish website at www.saintjohnpaulri.com.

FRIDAY FAMILY FAITH FORMATION EVENING Our next Family Faith Formation evening will take place on Friday, February 18, 2022@ 6:00 PM (after the 5:15 PM daily Mass) We will be having a Family Movie Night with snacks and treats.
