It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Fr. Christopher Davenport, due to Covid and other health complications. After retiring as pastor of Sts Peter and Paul in West Warwick, Fr. Davenport returned to Pawtucket. He assisted with Masses at St. Leo and St. Cecilia Churches and will be remembered for his extraordinary holiness and gentle spirit. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes of his priestly character and work. He simply loved being a priest of God. Please remember his family in your prayers during this difficult time. Funeral details will be forthcoming.

Today our school students enjoy their first snow day of the year. Please note that our parish offices will be closed and Divine Mercy at 3:00p will be canceled. Mass will still be celebrated at 5:15p. Please use caution and your best judgement when driving. Stay safe!

After much discussion, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel our annual tradition of Breakfast with Santa. As the number of Covid cases has increased throughout the state, we do not want this event to be a cause of a close contact situation and prevent families from gathering for Christmas. We will be sharing photos of the children's artwork from the "Keep Christ in Christmas Contest" for all to enjoy! Did you want one of our delicious meat pies for a quick meal or your Thanksgiving dinner? PRE-ORDER one or more today! Whole pies will ONLY be offered by PRE-ORDER. Slices will be available the during the bazaar, but no whole pies will be available for purchase. Meat Pies are $17.00 each Dessert Pies (9") are $15.00 each (apple, blueberry, cherry, pecan or pumpkin) All whole pies must be ordered by November 7th. A dinner to celebrate Fr. Stephen Battey's Installation as Pastor of St. John Paul II Parish will be held on Sunday, October 24 at 1 PM. Dinner will be soup, salad, roast chicken, roast pork, potato, vegetables, dessert and coffee. Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children under 12.
